for beginning and intermediate painters
The mastery of transparent watercolor comes from learning the methods and with practice.

If you have always admired watercolor and have wanted either to learn how to paint with watercolors or strengthen your existing techniques, now is a good time to join me in the exploration of basic watercolor practices in this Watercolor Workshop.

I have been painting in watercolor for many years and using my knowledge as a painter, a watercolor student, and as an art educator I have created this series of lessons with the beginner and intermediate student in mind.

In this Watercolor Workshop you will learn the foundation techniques of this transparent watercolor medium. You will learn how to paint flat and graded washes on wet and dry paper. You will learn how to use dry and wet brush techniques. You will learn how to create values  by applying transparent washes,  and you will learn the principles of color mixing and create your own color mixing charts.

               This five week Watercolor Workshop series will prepare you for painting luminous transparent watercolors.

               Fee: $145 per person for small group instruction. Private lessons are also available. Adults 17+
